Why is it that people who support homosexual lifestyle's feel the need to give anyone who is against gays a thumbs down rateing? If your not of the Christian faith then this cant concern you, but if you are.... the bibile clearly states that being a homosexual and having sex with a person of the same gender is a sin. In the Good News Bible, Liviticus 18 verse 22 clearly states that homosexual acts are not only sinful but God HATES the acts. So to all of you ignorant gay supporters the Bible says its wrong so therefore it is... why do you have to bash people who believe it? Arn't you doing the exact same thing your asking people not to do?

Notice how I said HATES the ACTS i never said the people! Look im not out to make fun of and hate gay people, and no where does it say that i do. What my actual question was is that when the truth IS told, whenever someone says that being gay is a sin, the person is immediately attacked! Much like what happened here! MY Actual question was why do you all feel the need to get all defensive and point out all of my wrongs. All i did was ask a question, it is called Yahoo Answers!

Do you believe everything you see, hear, and read?
Don't worry though. I don't think anyone meant to be mean. It's just so common for so-called "bible-thumpers" to constantly berate and cuss out people in this area. If you weren't being rude and still got some heat, sorry 'bout that.

Well, you believe the Bible says one thing, I believe the Bible CLEARLY says something else, AS LONG AS YOU READ THE WHOLE THING, and not split it into little parts. For instance, the section in Lev which you quote does say that. But in REALITY, that is part of a section of the Bible which is prefaced by a rule for the ENTIRE section that says essentially that the Jews should not do what the other people living in their are do. There are many prohibitions in that section that are EQUALLY hated by God, such as eating shrimp and pork; wearing clothes of 2 different fibers; and planting 2 different crops in the same field. God does NOT hate gays, based on that section, he only is asking them to do things to remain separate from the heathens in the population they live with. At least that is MY belief, from MANY hours of study!
Well, that being said, I should address the other part of your question. We can have our differences in what we believe. But I don't think that many gays, if ANY, go around bashing Christians. In my experience, that ONLY happens when Christians come in and push their beliefs, and we get defensive. Just because you believe something doesn't mean I have to just put up with you pushing your beliefs on me. I WILL push back, with what I believe is the truth, which to me is much more valid that the beliefs that you have. But I will NEVER bash anyone. I will only defend MY beliefs. And never before someone else pushes theirs on me!
EDIT -- I see where you are coming from. Sorry I misinterpreted your original question; but to be honest, what you put in your edit was VERY different than what you originally asked. The original question had a HUGE dose of judgment in it, which was NOT in the edit. I get upset when people feel the need to push their religion on me. I disagree that homosexuality is a sin, partly for the reason above. I feel attacked, and I feel the need to defend my position. The reason that we get defensive is that you claim truth, when it is only your opinion. It is the arrogance in that which offends me, as well! By the way, you shouldn't have spelled it truth; I believe the correct Christian spelling is Truth with a capital letter, so we can tell that it doesn't have to be factual, and it is just opinion!
I have a follow-up question for you, why do so many Christians get defensive when we disagree with their thoughts on this matter? They seem to require us to listen to what they believe, but when we question it, we are anti-Christian!

can you actually point out something in the bible that it says is ok to do ? The bible wasnt written by god if there is such a thing but by men who seem hell bent on spoiling everything for humans. Perhaps they were the first gay bashers and bigots. I would rather put my faith in the comic page in the newspaper than the bible. At least people know that is fiction.

You asked this question approximately 4 hours in the past and that i'm only now seeing it, yet i will answer it besides. i've got study each and every of the solutions and that i see that each and every of the pertinent Bible verses have been listed, so I won't checklist them lower back. enable me only upload that I, too, totally have faith it rather is a sin. it rather is a temptation from devil, only like quite a few different sin. regrettably, it has won large importance politically, and it has become rampant. The capability it has won using removing the Bible from our colleges is obvious. it rather is a sin that has become known. in assessment to theft, mendacity, drugs, adultery, homicide, etc., there is almost no thank you to combat it different than by church itself. Homosexuality isn't genetic. Many "professionals" will attempt to cajole you of that, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it only isn't authentic. No gay gene has ever been chanced on, nor will it ever be chanced on. lower back, it is only a temptation of devil. only as you're tempted to lie, to thieve, to kill, etc., you will possibly be tempted to take part in comparable-intercourse. one extra factor. I observed a connection with adultery, yet enable me amplify on it. Adultery is obviously listed and referred to as a sin. nicely, seem on the definition of adultery. The Bible needless to say states that adultery ability you're having intercourse (or possibly a courting) with somebody different than your companion. And your companion is obviously defined as somebody of the different intercourse, which ability, despite if Congress publicizes that a guy might marry a guy, or a girl might marry a girl, your companion can basically be somebody of the different intercourse. hence, adultery, that's a sin, ability you have had intercourse (or a courting) with somebody different than your opposite-intercourse companion. This needless to say ability that homosexuality is a sin.

So if that is still used as reasoning by people like you we can accurately take it to mean that you REJECT the sacrifice of the Christ that made ALL those old laws pass away? By insisting that those laws are relevant you deny the fact that those laws were done away with by his sacrifice.
Actually those who aren't Christian have just as much right to answer and respond as any other considering that people like you use that book as a Bludgeon to support your own bigotry and bash all, not just those who believe.

Fascinating. And where did you find the exact word "homosexual" in the bible?
There are many things you need to "get over", however, your lack of a heart and lack of a soul are going to prevent you.

Does it not say in the bible that "Thou shalt not judge" By judging homosexuals, you are sinning.
Also, what is the "Good News Bible"? A book written by 20th century fanatics?

This the LGBT forum not the Religion/Spiritual Forum. Again, God is going to judge us someday! So, read your bible again, and don't try to add more words to it to your liking.
