About the only fish I can think of that looks at all like a dolphin is an "elephant nose" fish. It's the nose that makes them look like a dolphin. However, you would need at least a 55 gallon tank to keep one, and should only be kept by more advanced fishkeepers.

There's one called a "whale" that looks something like one, but it's a catfish that grows almost a foot long and is parasitic on onther fish - not a good choice for any tank!

If you like whales and dolphins, why not decorate your tank with whale & dolphin ornaments? Maybe you can find something to uses as an ocean background (or at least ocean blue) and use ocean-themed ornaments. But keep some easier fish species in your tank. If you like bright colors (which would go well with an ocean theme - most saltwater fish are bright), try some platties, swordtails, or fancy guppies.

See link for some nice decorations with a marine theme:

You will want something from the Mormyrid family. Theres a fish in that family commonly called a baby whale that looks a lot like a whale but some of the related fish even have longer noses. Not as common but you can find them from online retailers.

good luck. really! I didn't know God or nature produced miniature dolphins yet. And whales? First of all I think they are mammals. Sharks on the other hand... there are shark-looking catfish that are sold in pet stores. They are silver and black . Mine has grown one foot. Some can get larger. It is a catfish member but looks like a shark.

You might be able to find brown banded bamboo sharks or epoulette (spelling??) sharks these grow to be about three feet or so but you would need a massive tank in order to house these in and of course it would have to be salt water which is more difficult to maintain than a fresh water tank. Food would also be alittle expensive considering you would need to buy fresh seafood like shrimp. As for you owning marine mammals, I am almost positive that is illegal considering you can't get closer then 100 feet to them in the wild. That and I don't think it is a good idea unless you are a marine biologist or a marine mammal doctor , someone who knows how to take care of these animals.

Yes,"sort of",anyway,it's an African Cichlid from Lake Malawi. The latin name was Haplochromis Moori, but I believe the Genus name has changed recently. AKA Blue Dolphin Cichlid. They don't look too Mahi Mahi until they mature, then they grow a nuchal hump.(A bump on the forehead.)

That would be really cool to have, but dolphins are mammals, and unfortunately, there are no fish that closely resemble them.

Seaworld?

No seriously, for sharks, try RedTailed Black Sharks. He is not a shark but a fish, he just looks like a shark. We have one of those. He is jet black with a bright red tail! Gorgeous!
