Helping my father-in-law in his last two months of life and ultimately being with him as his spirit slipped from this world and returned to his Heavenly Father. I also think of his life and how he was the most Christ-like individual I've ever met.

Also, every time I really ponder how lucky I am to have the most amazing family on the planet, I get very emotional. I don't know what I must have done to deserve them, but it must have been something very good.

The last time I saw my mother alive. I was torn between spending the weekend with her or my dad (they were divorced and it was a joint-custody matter), and realizing that by the time I decided to go up with her, she had already left. Two nights later she died in a car wreck. I've always wondered if she left our home feeling disappointed or sad that I didn't visit, but I had hoped that we'd see each other again in a matter of days. She died the day before my 9th birthday. I was pretty much a wreck for several years.....

I get emmotional every time I think about my father. Its hard to pick out one incident in particular, but I feel very angry when I think about him. I guess that I love him in a way because he is my father, but I hate him so much. I hate the person that he is, I hate what he has done to my life and my family, and I hate the fact that he is my father.

The year 1997 - I lost two people I loved more than life; one had fur, one was a human. I still choke up and cry a little thinking about it.

Wow...makes me wish I knew your dad.

for me, it's the birth of my son and remembering his first cry, and seeing his face for the first time. I will never forget it.
