Sure at 15 you should be able to go out and party a bit and have a good time.... and then you become a parent and realize the reason your parents didn't let you go are the same reasons why your 15-151/2 year old daughter or son is not going out either.

Honey, that's exactly why I'm strict with my kids! Because I so regret some of the stuff I got into at that age. Wish my parents had kept a better eye on me. I hope someday you will thank your parents for being a bit strict. You'll have less regrets and really, you aren't missing anything extraordinary.

yeah, we all did. But when you are a parent you will know the dangers of it. Chances are by the time you are 25 you are going to have had some bad experiences that your parents are trying to prevent you from having no matter how responsible you think you are. :-) Be safe!!

Yes, but when you become a parent you you have the gift of hindsight and *gasp* realise that your parents sometimes did know better than you.
I wish I hadn't rebelled so much and enjoyed being a kid instead of rushing to grow up.

Yup. And it always lead to trouble. Not just from my parents either. Parents are strict because they care about your well being and they love you. They want to make sure you understand the limits and boundaries associated with becoming an adult. And not just any adult, an educated, self sufficient, productive adult.

I was a late bloomer so I was more like 18, but yes, I did want to do all the stuff that my parents didn't want me to do that I knew they did. The thing is, I was smart enough not to go overboard.

My two teens(15 and 17)go out alot more than I ever did at their age.I remember all too well what it was like.So I try to let them spread their wings as long as they know the rules.

I did, but as cliche as this sounds, once you're a parent, you will understand. I have never known such fear as I have since becoming a parent, that something could happen to my child. I wish i could truly convey to you how that feels.
