what do you think is more interesting?

For both watching & playing---Hockey, no contest. And I played both, so I can say! Baseball's fun to play (And yes, I do mean baseball, not softball--I've played both, thanks), but there's not constant action. (Or hard hits....). Players have all the warm up time blah blah blah, then they leave the game....pitchers pitch one inning then they're done. That's not fun!! Hockey is (pretty much) non-stop, on the go, exciting the entire game. That's what I like about it.

And Hockey is a thinking game too! Sure, the situations are more clear cut in baseball (Which base to make the play at, etc), but hockey's thinking requires a quicker mind. The plays are more fluid, so it's not a set response. You have to know your other player & position---& you don't have the chance baseball players do to see who it is, take a timeout, get reminded by your coach how to play the player, etc.

I have played both hockey and baseball for many years and I have to say that we're talking apples and oranges here. I think that the hockey and baseball gods made an excellent arrangement by playing one in the winter and the other in the summer as to maximize our enjoyment of both.

As a player, I enjoy playing hockey more that baseball. You can also play rec-league hockey for many years after your prime. It's not that easy to do that in baseball. There's very little in life that beats the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Your question is similar to one which asks "Which do you like more...apples or oranges?" The responses will be subjective in nature, and will depend on each individual's personality.
I've played (and watched) both sports for many years, and I loved both...for drastically different reasons.
The games are extremely different, and baseball (called the summer game for obvious reasons) is to be lazily enjoyed, while hockey and its frenetic action gets the blood pumping from its fans.
Hockey requires better cardiovascular conditioning and overall strength, and is inherently more difficult than baseball, because of a skill that needs to be learned and performed well - skating. So, even if you're tough, have a hard shot, strength and quickness, but can't skate, you won't play hockey very well.
Baseball is a game which also requires specific skills - hitting a baseball and catching it, but you don't need skates to play it. Sure, running speed is a bonus, but quickness (reacting to balls hit to you (especially infielders)) is the real necessity. Strength is needed to hit the long ball, but there have been many players who are successful singles hitters.
As to whether one involves more thinking than the other, hockey is much more reactive than proactive - that's not to say you don't think while playing (for example, must I cover for the defenseman if he rushes the puck in deep), but generally, the reactions are very often instantaneous. The pace of play doesn't often give you time to think about startegies while you're playing.
Baseball, given its slow pace, allows more time to think....which base do I throw to, who's going to cover second base on a steal attempt, should I bunt for a basehit because the third baseman is deep, etc.
The catcher, especially, is the real thinker, calling the game for the pitcher and giving him the signals and target. Then, once the ball is hit, the fielders should know where to make the play.

I like hockey better. What is all this thinking talk in baseball? Sure there are decisions in a ball game, but there are probably much more decisions in a hockey game. Baseball you have the pitcher and batter doing their thing, making their decisions while everyone else on the field is adjusting their cup. They don't do anything until the ball comes to them. In hockey when the puck drops 10 guys are always moving, reading the play and making decisions.

seriously you don't think there's thinking in hockey obviously the people who have said that have never played. THERE IS A LOT OF THINKING in hockey. I've played hockey for 12 years now and I tell you what, one slip up of the mind and bam a goal! Hockey is FAST and FIERCE there is contact and speed and lots of action. There is always something going on, not just one dude pitching one trying to hit and the rest siting and twirling on there thumbs till the play happens. Everyone on the ice is moving and doing something, And YES Ive played base ball so I can say this!!! HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY! Plus hockey players are hotter there's something about hockey hair and chipped teeth that get the blood flowing!! I mean what other sport is there where white guys with crooked noses, chipped teeth and scarred faces still get laid??

I like both to be honest. However, I much prefer to watch hockey on TV, rather than baseball. I'd rather be there to watch baseball.

But...as a hockey mom and a baseball mom, most of the games I watch are my kids' so I love them both!

Hockey most definatly. Baseball is sooo boring to watch. Don't get me wrong, I love baseball and going to a game is so much fun. But hockey is the much more exciting sport.

hockey off course, duh!!
what's so exciting about baseball? hockey is way cooler! much more exciting, a lot faster and there's a lot more strategy to it. plus, talking about hockey is one of the simpelest things: "go, skate, goal!" and that's about it! everyone can talk the talk, so to say ;)
so, all in all, this is a very simple question: hockey is the best game in the world and therefore is much more interesting then baseball!!
