Opinions are important also. What is bothersome is that it has cluttered-up Internet searching. Also, what is said here can be viewed anywhere in the world.
In my opinion, Yahoo!Answers is NOT a knowledge database or collection of knowledge.

Facts are absolutely the best, however, some questions posted, warrant an opinion. All facts and theories have a pinch of opinion in their development. Sources of knowledge need to begin somewhere. The knowledge doesn't just pop out with a sign on it. It is developed into knowledge.

I will answer this question with the true way I feel. Anyone of any intelligence level can go to wikipedia, copy and paste an answer 5 miles long to any question. I personally would like this forum to be based on the level of knowledge of the people here. I have several answers that I have saved in my hard drive, that I copy and paste, but they are my answers with my words, not out of a book. I find no intelligent being that all they do is cut and paste and THEN they get the best answer because (duh) it IS the best answer, but not their answer.
Bottom line - answers given personally from peoples experience or personal knowledge and then the asker to judge who has the best answer. The answer that is most believable. There have been a lot of answers not mine that were picked best answer by the asker. Even though when I compare them, mine are more correct. But that is the game and the way it goes. I just keep plugging.

You're asking an opinion question now, sunshine...You can have the factual questions so people can get info....and the opinion questions so we can have a little fun answering them. You can always stick to the info questions if that suits you.

Interesting point. I do not completely agree though, especially in this category, as the idea of a "poll" is to get people's opinions.

No way! Opinions ARE answers! Besides look at all the people answering questions, giving medicial advice as if it were 100% factual and they are doctors.

Oh my.
Get out of Polls & Surveys, now. For your own sake.
Also, avoid Religion & Spirituality and Politics.
