After looking through it. There are 3 Cup Champ Captains not born in Canada. Charlie Gardiner and John Gottselig both born outside of North America and the only other team that has won without a Canadian captain from the US is Derian Hatcher.
1933-34 Blackhawks, Charlie Gardiner, born in Scotland
1937-38 Blackhawks, John Gottselig, born in Russia
1998-99 Stars, Derian Hatcher, born in Michigan
1999, when American Derian Hatcher, who was born in Sterling Heights, Mich., hoisted the Cup with the Dallas Stars.
To find another team that won the Stanley Cup with a captain who wasn't born in Canada, you have to go all the way back to 1938, when Johnny Gottselig, who was born in Odessa, Russia, led the Chicago Blackhawks to victory. But Gottselig, a left-winger who played nearly 600 games for the Blackhawks between 1928 and 1946, was actually more Canadian than Russian, coming to this country in his youth and becoming a junior star with the Regina Pats.
When the Blackhawks won their first Stanley Cup in 1934, their captain was goaltender Charlie (Chuck) Gardiner, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. But at age 7, Gardiner moved to Winnipeg with his family. Nicknamed The Wee Scott, Gardiner suffered a brain hemorrhage only weeks after winning the Cup and died on June 13, 1934. He was 29.
only american that has won a Stanley cup is Derian Hatcher when he played with the Stars.

2007, The Detroit Red Wings (Lidstrom--Sweden) :-D
Haha, sorry. I actually don't know. It's a good question, and I honestly can't think of any. I've been following hockey my whole life, but it's only been 20 years, sorry!!
edit to respond to the person below me---I think all of those three are canadian. Jagr wasn't captain of the Pennguins, and I don't think he's won a cup not on the Pennguins, so I don't think that's right either
edit 2--Fetisov also wasn't captain when he won it with Detroit. That was Yzerman. I don't believe Fetisov has won it with any other teams, nor has he captained them
Like I said before, I don't think there have been any.

Could be this year! The Detroit Red Wings captain is now Niklas Lidstrom. That would be really cool!
