Hi all, thanks for the comments and support. I came up with this design myself and will write down the pattern/drawing when I'm free. Still working on improvements on it, such as a button to keep the case close. Btw, you should able to listen to your ipod while it's in the case.

Quite nice, I haven't seen that sort of case knitted or crocheted before, usually I just see the form-fitting slip cozies. I'd be interested to know how well it actually holds and protects the ipod and accessories, do they slip out? Will you be tying or buttoning the case closed so that nothing will fall out? Can you listen to the ipod while it's in the case?

I've been considering picking up my knitting needles and knitting a cozy or two for myself. I'm not familiar with crochet, and have never knitted more than a couple of scarves.... very much a beginner here, still. But it is fun to design and create new things.

that is super cute! I'm going to try and crochet an ipod case now... you're very inspiring. lol.
it sounds like it will be a lot more complicated to do this, but if you could figure out how to leave the area where the screen and play buttons are and still hold in the ipod, that might make it easier to keep in the case while playing the ipod... but with the case crocheted, it's so easy to slip in and out- it shouldn't be much of a problem to take it out when you want to change the song.

bravo!

Hey! That's so cute!! I recently made a cell phone holder for my niece. It was pretty simple. I just knit 2 sides, a strap handle and then knit fun fur around the top. I think Lion Brand has some neat "felting" patterns for eye glass cases and such. You might be able to get some nifty ideas there!

Good luck! Nice work! I wish I could crochet!

Hi:

It's really cute and crafty. Did you come up with the pattern yourself or follow an existing pattern? If you came up with the pattern, you might want to see about writing it down and sharing it somewhere. Coming up with patterns may lead you on a good career or hobby for stuff like that! Hope this helps.

I would be very interested in the pattern. I have just learned to knit and this looks easy enough for me to make.Great job and great design. Keep it up.

That sounds interesting. Was it an easy project? Could be a good project for teens learning to crochet - or for anyone else too.

it is going to maximum actual scratch. iPods can bypass from being fairly sexy to a grimy-looking disaster especially actual. I recommend keep the case. possibly get some invisible shields. those are especially stable.
