JAVA means coffee, it is not an acronym

The way I heard it was that the original name was going to be Oak. But that name was taken by another software company. Since the programmers were frequenting a local coffee house they named it after their favorite beverage....

JAVA to me is more like a cafe name, but it is really a object-oriented programming language.
