I'm 15, and I'm a freshman at my school. I SUCK at putting on makeup! I have SUPER fair skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. I can never put on eyeliner (even like, super light brown) without it being so dark it looks like I'm a raccoon. I just have too light of skin. Plus, I'm not good at like, blush or eyeshadow. I cant do shading for eyeshadow. Can somone help me?

the best help i can offer you is to go to your local mall, have one of the makeup counters like sephora, MAC, or even a place like bath and body works. Present your questions to the artist at the counter and she/he will help you find good colors for your coloring as well as help you learn how to put them on. Also if you go to a salon/spa they have artist available who for anywhere from $15-$50 will teach you how to apply your own makeup for an everyday look, and night out look and etc. I'm a cosmetologist and do freelance makeup work. I could go into detail but i was being lazy and also i won't be able to help you as well as seeing a wide variety of colors and having an artist present will.

I am fair skinned too with blonde/brown hair and light blue eyes. I learned how to apply makeup when I was younger by looking at magazines or online. There are always plenty of articles in magazines or online that can give you pointers on how to apply makeup if you don't want to go a professional makeup artist.
To have help choosing the best colors for you and makeup application techniques I would recommend going to a professional makeup artist at a local mall at either Nordstrom or Macy's or go to a beauty salon. Go to a professional especially if you want foundation because finding your true skin color is very important for blending (so other people can't notice you are wearing the face makeup).
I only wear a lot of makeup at night functions and dress-up occasions, but during the day I know too much just looks heavy on my fair skin and way too noticeable. Instead I just wear a tinted moisturizer (so my face coloring seems even), i curl my eyelashes, put a little mascara on and a lip gloss. This makes me looks awake, a put together, but not like I'm hiding my face in makeup. Plus its really easy to do everyday!
Good luck with the process, just make sure you have fun with it and you let your inner beauty show.

The best way to get started would to go to a beauty counter at the mall, clinique would be good, or Estee Lauder and ask for a make up application. They will be able to pick the appropriate colors for your skin color and show you how to apply it properly so you don't look like a raccoon (LOL). You can always buy similar colors at the drugstore for less money. If you can't do this, all I can say is to practice and remember less is always better than going out looking like a clown. Sometimes just a little mascara and a tinted gloss is all you need.

Do you have a Bobbi Brown counter? Try tinted moisturizer in Alabaster it's SUPER fair and because it's sheer you don't have to perfect match anyway. They also have great artists on staff to help select colors. Try the powder liners in maybe Steel or slate and a lid color like Champagne or petal they are light but very pretty colors. And Use a gloss or lip tint for a touch of color.

My advice would be to go to the mall....they have make-up counters at the department stores. Ask the sales people to show you how. They will, believe me. They wasnt to make sales! And they are pretty good at what they do.
ANother thing, use a brush and eyes shadow in place of eyeliner. For some people it is always just dark. You can create a great lid line with eye shadow and you dont always have to use black or brown. Go to a web site that tells you what your best colors would be. Hope I helped a little. :)

Your not too old at all to be asking this questions..many girls, much older than yourself, go to makeup counters to get a make over to learn just what you are asking.

Why don't you do that?..You do not have to buy anything to get a mkaeover..and you leave with a whole fresh new way to go about your makeup routine..along with great new colors for you to try. If you feel you do have buy something, and feel guilty..just say..thankyou very much, I need to wear this awhile to get use to it..and see how it is in other light. Most people in the costmetic counter love to do makeovers..as it is fun for them. You can call or go by counters and ask about makeovers..I know Mac takes bookings for them...just try that..have fun..and you can take what you learn to buy comparable productrs and colors at a cheaper drugstore brand if you want.

I think you would be best using an eyeshadow that is the same shade as your eyes so that it doesn't appear so dominant on your face, and if you use Bare MInerals, it's kind of hard to go overboard ya know? So try it and see.
