well, can it? also, my cat was around the nail polish remover while i was using it, will the fumes harm him?

my guess would be to check the bottom of the bottle for a date if there isn't one then i dn't think it can spoil.

Finger nail polish can spoil and you can check the date on the bottom of the bottle. The fumes are not harmful if they are not consumed for a long period of time. I would suggest you open a window for him though because the smell is not very pleasant.

The acetone is very volatile (evaporates easily). If the bottle is tightly capped, it should be good for a long time. It is more likely to evaporate out and leave a dry bottle than to spoil.

no it can't spoil but, it can evaporate like rubbing alcohol does. The fumes won't harm him but, don't let him drink it or anything.
