Andy Warhol. That might sound a tad dim, but I think it's true. He's the father of pop art. The most subtly huge satirist who is still affecting the nation 20 years after his death.

Probably someone who not many people would think of. Someone who was not a great lord, a powful conquerer-a vast slayer of human beings or a builder of empires. But someone who did something that changed our world forever. Changed our entire strategic concept of it all. And almost everyone at the time saw him do it. NEIL ARMSTRONG.
You see, before July 1969 humanity had a certain concept of this world and of it's own destiny. That other great influencal person in history-Alexander the Great took a world that was isolated and insular and got the idea started that this planet could be one and that humans could actually work together. A completely new and radical and far reaching idea that is unique to the last 2,500 years in history. However what Armstrong did was to take it further and implant in the minds of humanity that not only could we work together on this planet-but we could actually leave it, go elsewhere and that this is possible and practical . By his landing on the moon he gave us the concept and reality of not only working together on this planet but AWAY FROM THIS PLANET.
Alexander gave humanity a concept and belief that we could cooperate- TURNED INWARDLY. Armstrong gave by his example the concept and belief that we could cooperate - TURNED OUTWARDLY. We were not confined to this planet-and we knew it. Alexander set our feet on the path to maturity. Armstrong set our feet on the path to the stars. When in a million years or a billion we have progressed and advanced to the milky way and beyond. We will want to know where did it all begin. What was that pivital momment in history when history was turned into the direction that we are today-in the year 1,000,000 or 1,000,000,000 A.D. Armstrong will influence history so much-like Alexander before him- that history will basically be divided into before July 1969 and after July 1969.
For in the year 1,000,000 or 1,000,000,000 A.D if a person from the long dark distant past were to appear. People would ask him: WERE YOU THERE AT THE FIRST MOON LANDING-AT HUMANITY'S FIRST FOOT UPON ANOTHER WORLD?. WERE YOU THERE WITH NEIL ARMSTRONG?
WERE YOU THERE WHEN IT ALL BEGAN, DID YOU SEE IT? WERE YOU THERE WHEN THE EAGLE HAD LANDED?
