I retook the SAT last week because I wasn't happy with a 2020 and that was a really bad test day for me, but just in case, where will a 2020 get me?

You're looking at needing to get about a 2200 to get into MIT

The website listed in my sources has a bunch of them, and you can see if any of them suit you.

I graduated before they changed the scoring system, but my score was 1520 out of a possible 1600. That was in 1992. University of Georgia was falling all over me...Georgia Tech had to be called repeatedly.

If you are looking at an Ivy league or any of the "Big 10", you need to have something better going for you than a 2020. Like a solid GPA and great references.

By the way, MIT is flooded with scores of 2400 from potential students. That's not what gets you in. What gets you in is the way you carry yourself, who you know, and a little bit of luck!

Oh...and the 2400 don't hurt, either!

Tons of schools will take a 2020. It's pretty low for MIT though, which you apparently knew already. A lot of it all depends a good deal on what GPA you have. The higher your GPA, the more schools will take you with a 2020 SAT.

I thought 1600 was a perfect score, Maybe it changed in the last 3 years.
