Why do women get real picky when it comes to having sex.. but men are not?

See men have their toy on the outside of their body so it is always on their minds. If it was tucked neatly away like the women's then they wouldn't have to think about it all the time. Lol. In nature the males flaunt themselves in front of the female and then it is her job to pick out the one who would be the strongest, the best father and provider for the species to thrive. Men fight their conscience more than a woman does. A man once told me that for men sex is a recreation and for women there is emotional attachment. Have a good one. Mmm

Men evolved a tendency towards polygamy, because that was the most likely way that their seed would survive, if there was a lot of it, while women evolved to monogamy, because their offspring is more likely to survive with two active parents instead of one. This has a variety of effects.

Men are generally less choosy, because they could afford to be with polygamy, while women try to find as good a partner as possible. Unfortunately "good" in terms of a male partner usually means dominant in social settings, rather than being a halfway decent person, and often also doesn't require that sed "good" person is faithful to a monogamous relationship.

And all of the primary effects have at least one proxy effect on individual relationships. Women are more likely to be lenient on their normal personal sexual restrictions if they are with someone who is an alpha male, while tend to be less compliant with those of... lesser social qualities. But the variables are too numerous to even come close to saying that these things are strictly adhered to. Some women (though rare) find things other than social dominance to be the ultimate aphrodesiac. I'm not saying most women want the President or a prince, but within their social circles or prefered cultural setting (i.e. goth, punk, politcal, prep, jock, nerd, church, group therapy, bingo group, world of warcraft, and ad nausium) the most dominant member is almost universally the "sexiest".

Some women find themselves unworthy of anyone, or at least of many, and are more likely to accede to sexual acts they may not want to perform for a larger group of people (and I'm far from talking strictly about group sex, though that does count), or they could have strong psychological or religious boundaries that certain sex acts cross. Men could have those same boundaries, and either could have a fetish that they absolutely couldn't... do without.

Two reasons:

First, women tend to be much more interested in whether the potential lover would be a good father (whether consciously thinking it or not) because if a pregnancy happens from the sex, she's tied to it (at least in the absence of medical intervention) for at least nine months, possibly a lifetime. The man, on the other hand, may end up with a financial cost or possibly and emotional cost, but it doesn't change his ability to go next door and have more sex, even if that results in another pregnancy.

Second, culturally and religiously, women are practically considered a commodity whose value is determined by either her potential as a sexual partner (appearance, "purity", social status) or through her reproductive ability as a mother. For many women, this value determines what their options are and is, in a fashion, a measure of their own power. To get a reputation as a "slut" or an "easy lay" reduces her value from these sources and makes life harder on her both socially and economically.

Which is, of course, ironic because women are "built" as much as men for nonmonogamy. I mean, concealed ovulation, female orgasm causing mating success differences between men, and even the ability to have multiple orgasms can all be argued (along with male adaptations like differences in penis size between men and compared to other primates) to be products of an environment with a lot of non-monogamous sex.

And, as studies showing women's likelihood to commit adultery increasing as their own personal income and college education (may both indicate roughly the same idea) seem to indicate, as women's dependence on social value decreases in lieu of personal economic value, their dependence on strict "proprietary monogamy" seems to decrease...

To sum up: Women are pickier not because they are inherently more controlled, but because the costs of not being picky are much higher than for men!

Animal instincts. As men we mearly wish to continue our lineage at any possible opportunity, where as women look for strong, healthy, and stable individuals to concieve with. Women are key in determining the prosparity of any race or lineage as they are more discriminating when it comes to mating. Thats why in the animal kingdom males often perform mating rituals, to show the females that he is fit enough to mate with. Its all written in our genetic code.

then people would start calling them names... like easy, slut, *****, whore, loose....

example: your schoolmates mary had slept with all the boys in her class... response : she must be a slut.

example: Tom had slept with all the women he ever went out with... response : WoW ! he's good!

but if men sleep with lots of girls.. people would be envy instead...

i guess sex morale value for male and female are still different.. so guys are more easy going on sex

its a natural instinct... women naturally seek out the strongest, smartest, and best looking... for reproductive reasons, even if they are not looking to get pregnant, its instinct.
men dont mind where they plant their seed.
