They DO dream.
"However, while people who are blind certainly do dream, their dreams are visual only to the extent that they can see, or could see before their blindness, in their waking life. People who are blind from birth have dreams that are primarily auditory, with their other intact senses participating to about the same degree that they do in a sighted person's dreams. They do not, however, dream in visual images. "

The thing is nobody actually can say that blind people can't dream it is just that it is harder for them. They haven't seen day light in a way and there mind have nothing to dream about because it hasn't seen anything in a long period of time. To answer your question they just have a good night sleep.

We do dream just as you do.
Dreams are based on reality and then the mind can take this and make all kinds of things out of it.
If we had sight at one time then we often do still dream in technicolor as ou do. If blind from birth then we dream just as we live. You do the same.
Why do so many of you that can see think those of us that do not are somehow not able to understand.

Maybe they dream of experiencing something as you would experience with your eyes closed?
If so, then that would apply to only - or at least - blind people who previously had sight. So your question really is, how is it possible that blind people, if they have never seen a physical object, dream about objects, like in our dreams? But that question assumes that always-blind people have the same kind of dreams we do, but it's not clear we're entitled to that assumption. If our dreams mimic or mirror our non-sleep experiences, then it stands to reason that blind people's dreams mimic or mirror their dreams...i.e., the first thing I said (asked) above.

The best possible answer I can give you, is to check the link from The Cupic...it will answer things that might not even have occurred to you. ALL people dream, (although some claim that they never do, simply because they never remember them)! I'm hoping you choose that answer, & don't wait for the voters! The link is truly excellent. This was great for me, too, as I've researched dreams for years & NEVER encountered a blind person. How weird.

they may be able to dream visually and audibly, yet would not recognize it because of the fact they have not have been given something to income it with. it might in all probability rely in the event that they are blind/deaf via problems with their eyes/ears, or with the portion of the concepts that interprets the sight/sound. If their concepts is nice, then there may well be no reason they might not subconsciously create factors of interest and sounds, besides the actuality that they might needless to say bear no resemblance to certainty. different then that i assume they might dream as they might commonly interpret the international, ie via touch etc.
