I have 3, and in my case, they were all done on fleshier areas. The closer to the bone and the thinner the skin, the more the pain.
That said, your screen name is Canada chick? Trust me, as a girl, you're way better equipped to handle pain than guys are. Ever get the cramps? A tattoo only takes (usually, unless it's really complex) one sitting! Plus, I kinda thought it tickled, once they got started! So I'll say from 1 to 10, expect a 5, and hopefully it'll end up more like a 2 or 3.
Have fun, and bring a friend to take pictures while you're getting it done. You'll want to see the look on your face later!

Yes it does but it depends on your pain level and how well you can tolerate pain. Don't let noone tell you that it does not hurt cause they do and are you very sure you want to have this done? It is for life and I know that after I got older I wished I would have not gotten a few that I do have or atleast would of picked something different.

I have on on the inside of my forearm that didn't hurt at all, but I have one on my back at my waist line that hurt like hell, I almost passed out halphway through because my sugar dropped so low. Once you get through the utline it is easy sailing from there. The pain isn't so bad that I wouldn't do it again.

I have one on the small of my back. The pain was about a 5 for the outline, but we he started going back over, adding color, it went to an 8, then back to 5,etc...... Wasn't bad at all.....

I have low pain tolerance and I found it not too bad....one on my lower back and one near bikini line. Feels like a sting but gets a bit annoying when they do the coloring....good luck!!

The pain depends on where you get it, I think the least painful spot out of your choices would be the top of your shoulder, just remember to breathe, breathe.............Its not so bad.

it does hurt but release endorphins and is also pleasing, careful though, getting tattoos (because of the release of endorphins) can be addictive, once you get one you will immedialty want another. that's why so many people have multiple. kind of like the phrase "hurts so good!"
