I have an acoustic, my friend tells me it's pretty nice.

I've learned C,D,E,G,A chords, and one or two riffs, whats next?

For some reason I my comp isn't playing songs off of the internet, so looking up tabs isn't really that great...I have no clue what the rythem sounds like. Could anyone suggest something to learn?

Tabs, written music, and lessons are great, but only once you have a feel for the instrument. Try to pick out the simplest chords and riffs in the music you listen to, and build on that. Try to get a solid basis in being able to hear before you read.
Its all about listening.
Good luck.

warning by green day, easy!

for each chord: 1 & 2 &
ex:
A D
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &
G D
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &

You repeat all that like a billion times and thats the song!

I'd recommend buying a book that has notes, chords, and beginner songs in it.

somewhere out there by our lady peace:
intro:
D, G, Em (please know Eminor!), G

chorus:
D, A, G, Em, G

back to the intro riff, repeat chorus and intro a few times and thats pretty much the rest of the song. cheers.
