well, i curl 30 pounds & im 13. is this average, under average , or over average????? How much should the average 13 year old do???

you should do low weight higher rep to tone your muscle...so like 15 or 20(maybe)....i can do like 40 or 50....but i usually do high rep with 25-30....trust me it works faster...

you say curl 30 lbs, is that one rep or do you do this multiple times. Either way it is probably above average for your age. I can probably curl 70-75 on a good day, routinely use 50-60 for reps with strict form

30 is great for your age. Be very careful using weights because you can injure the growth plates in your bones. At your age I'd go for light weights with many repetitions. Heavy weights are a no no.... ask the doctor if you don't believe me. Good Luck. I'm an old guy but still manage several sets of repetitions with 70 pounds on each arm.

ill let you in on a little secret dude. you are too yuong to lift weights. but that doesnt mena you have to just wait. start with doin push up and sit up everyday. this will give you body some shape. then when you get older and your bodya has grown, you will have a great base to work from, with your body. see how many pushup you can do first then situps. then do some push up, situps, then two more sets of pushups. but you have to exhaust you body. then build the number of reps up over time. goodluck

I can get like 40, and 17 years old but I don't work out.

thats good.... but u should try little lighter.. when i was 13 i did 15 ~ 25 pounds 20 reps each every time i go to gym....

under average. like 50 pounds is gud for 13. keep trying

i can to 4 sets of 30 lbs so duno im 15 but im skin and bone
