She could just have an irregular cycle (mine was wildly irregular until I went on the Pill). She could have lost a lot of weight -- a woman's body needs a certain amount of weight in order to menstruate.

stress
not eating enough food or an eating disorder
a cold/sickness
any drastic lifestyle change
Just go to your doctor if you are worried, if not just eat healthier and get back to a regular routine and you should get a period next month
-------------
Also, this is possible but unlikely:
If you were fooling around with your boyfriend and he ejaculated near your vagina (also pre *** has sperm in it)- or if he had sperm on his hand and fingered you

could be her hormones are off. She should see a doctor. Sometimes the doctor will put them of birth control just til she gets back on track.

It could be because of her diet or just stress.
