About 30 minutes ago, I was eating a hamburger and discovered the meat was still pink on the inside. My boyfriend's burger was the same. We also didn't get a receipt. So I want to know what yall think about this situation.

You can't sue for food poisoning if you didn't get it. Either go back to the store or call the manager and complain. You could also stop eating there that's what I would do.

Most places have special occassions for times when you don't recieve a receipt, however, just because a burger is a lil pink on the inside, doesn't mean it will give you food poisoning. if it bothered you at all you should have taken it back or had it sent back. if you noticed and still ate it, it's your own fault. The only real way to be able to sue for food poisoning or to prove food poisoning is if an outbreak occurs at the eatery. That is the only way to PROVE where the food poisoning originated from.

Odds are you'll be just fine so I wouldn't sweat this too much. Back in the old days (15 years back) we used to order our Hamburgers rare (my favorite at the time). Yes, a few people got eColi back in the 80's, and our paranoid world (Lawyers) decided to litigate, litigate, litigate. As a result the good old government felt they should get in the act and recommend that we cook our burgers to a "healthy 170 degrees". But the fact is, our food supply is pretty darn safe, and MILLIONS of people ate pink hamburgers without a problem. (Guess what, I still cook them that way at home!)

So, odds are you won't be needing that receipt.

No,you will not get food poisoning from under cooked hamburger but you can get other illness from the bacterial in the uncooked meat. You really as of this moment do not have a law suit.It seems like you are trying hard to dig for money that is not yours.

No, without a receipt you can't do anything. And so what if the meat was a little pink? Did you get sick? If not, then it doesn't matter. Just don't eat there anymore.

Don't worry about it, you will be fine!

And no, you cant sue for food poisoning unless there are many people that get sick off the food, (like real sick in the hospital), and they trace it back to the place of origin.

My mom got sick in the summer from food poisoning and was in the hospital 2 weeks. She was the only one that got sick so nothing could be done about it.

You could take it back to restaurant and complain. Next time just order it, "well done".

Unfortunately you can't sue for food poisoning unless you actually get food poisoning and can prove where it came from but you can contact the company and complain about the undercooked burger. You can also inform your local health department that the restaurant is serving undercooked meat.

As soon as you saw the burger was pink you should have gave it back. Don't go eat the burger after you see it was pink and than sue for it.

The receipt isn't the problem. In order to find the restaurant at fault you would need to find other people that were also sick that ate the same thing. Did you actually get sick? In order to sue you would have to prove your damages (i.e. medical bills).
