"go away, we already dont want you in medicine..."

your answer does nothing but display your self indulgent arrogance...
a little bit of humility never hurts anybody, especially a doctor.

If you can actually finish the required pre-requisites in 2 years, total time to get your PharmD,with undergrad, is 6 years. I don't know if this has changed since the last time I looked into it, so sorry if that is wrong.

I believe medical school is 3 years after your BS(4year) degree and then after that you do a residency in your area which could take as long as an additional 13 years (if you want to be a brain surgeon)

Pharmacy school takes 4 years.

Med school takes 4 years.

Both are hard.

The only real difference is, in many states, it's a lot easier to get into pharmacy school having only done 2 or 3 years of undergrad (total of 6 or 7 yrs). Most med students have their bachelors (if not more) so you're talking around 8 years for undergrad and med school.

If you're worried about time, pharmacy is far shorter. Not only can you get away with just 2 or 3 years of undergrad in many states, but you also don't have to do a residency like doctors do. Even if you chose to do a pharm residency, it only lasts for 1 year. Not the minimum of 3 for med students.

Neither one is truly "easy". They both involve a LOT of hard work and memorization. Pharmacy school now is a mandatory 6 years of study. All pharmacists now are PharmD's. So, if you're looking to go into either one of these fields, don't expect that it's going to be easy.

Go away we already do not want you in medicine...Medicine is a devotion of your life to a profession, and there is nothing easy about it EVER! It is never easy to tell someone they have cancer, you never really get used to working all day having an emergency all night and working all the next day. During Med school all we ever did was study. Your eating goes to pot, you rarely sleep a full night, and your social life is essentially confined to your classmates

I have a cousin (and her husband as well) who went to school for 4 years and came out of it with their Pharmacy Tech skills. She doesn't work, but he's been with one particular pharmacy for about 20 years, now... making great money and not working nights. :)
