what kind of signal was it? radio waves?

Not sure if it was recorded in an audio fashion. It was pretty much just a graph on a chart wasn't it? Just search for terms like "SETI" and "wow" and see what results happen to start your search. Good luck.

It was probably a peak that at first seemed to be a deliberate transmission.
They listen continually to try to find an intelligent sounding signal that may indicate the existence of a deliberately transmitted signal.
SETI is a very worthwhile project and one day[hopefully] it will produce some results.
It would be proof that we are not alone,though even without proof,there is no doubt there are other intelligent species in many section of the universe.
