Go to http://www.cellreception.com and enter your zipcode you live in and it should show comments on the cellular services in your area according to carrier ex. verizon etc. and I would count up the one with the best score how many 5 bar comments per carrier or highest # and go with that carrier of your zipcode. good luck this worked 4 me in determining my carrier and it has been fine all along.

Cinular is the way to go if you have coverage in your location. Check it out on the coverage map and see if your zip is in coverage.
Now another thing is the Moto c139. It has an internal antenna. If your home is notorious for bad reception you may find a phone with a telescopic antenna is better (the ones that you can actually pull up out of the device itself). An example of a good basic phone is the sony ericsson z525 or if you are prepaid a sony ericsson z300.

The area I live in there are none manufactured that can get a signal in here. I've seen Cingulars service get 1 bar and gone the next second. Verizons service can be yelled to the horizon and get better reception. Even Vonnages service would drive the telegraph operators nuts. I am stuck in an area where Not Available In Your Area seems to be the standard.

A lot of times cell reception depends on your location and your carrier. I have the Chocolate phone and it is great. before the Chocolate i had a Samsung A670 and that was great too. All the phones I have had prior have been Samsung phones -- good success with those!

My favorite phone so far is the SYNC from Cingular.

I haven't had a problem with it one, it gets great reception where my Razr SUCKED and the bluetooth works just fine.
