if a camera was made which could capture a photograph as clear as it is to the human eye, how many megapixels would it be?

Roger N. Clark estimates human vision resolution to be equivalent to 576 megapixels (24000 x 24000 pixels) for a 120 degree field of view.

We have 1.25 million receptor cells per eye. I guess that would give us 2.5 megapixle resolution. However i think each of our cells is better than a pixel
