If you can't afford dental right now, just make sure you brush your teeth atleast twice a day. You should get some kind of health coverage even if its a watered down policy.

As far as getting dental work done - - or teeth cleaned - - - call one of the local Southern Baptist churches in your area. Talk to the pastor. Ask how you can get information about the mobile dental unit coming to an area near you. The Baptist State Convention in your state probably sponsors a mobile unit that comes to your area a couple of times a year and they help people in need with on the spot dental care. It is funded by churches who give to state missions every year. It is worked by volunteers. They won't be able to do anything extensive, but they can help some with whatever problem you might have.

Most communities have free clinics, volunteer doctors and other health care professionals that work in the clinic to diagnose basic medical illnesses.
For dental work, I would check out the closet technical college that offers dental hygienists classes. The one here has a clinic a few times a day that they take volunteers for to have them practice cleanings and x-rays and minor things like that. Usually no or very little charge.

You might want to try researching cheap health insurance to see if there is really something out there you can afford. I find this website useful for such research:

I suppose a public hospital should be able to treat you but as far as dental treatment goes i think you have to pay for it. And it doesn't come cheap.

Pray for good health. Some hospitals have programs for the uninsured. I hope you don't need to go this route. Good Luck.
