There's been brown discharge coming from down there and it's been going on for almost a month. I thought it would be over after seven days since my period is usually the first week of every month. There's little blood here and there and no discomfort; just brown discharge. No sexual activity or sports related activities. I'm 15 and my first period was when I was 13.

get to a dr. immediately. b/c it sounds like a really bad infection especially if it has an odor to it. but in the event that you did have sex and not wanting to say it you could be having a miscarriage so please get to a dr. or it could be desmorrhrea(sp?) which is normal bleeding outside of your cycle that usually causes a lot of pain. but it sounds like you really need to see a gynocolgist to make sure all is well. amd be honest w/them as your sexual health is at risk. untreated infections can cause infertility. so get checked out. take care.

I am not so worried about the coloring because there is a thing called a "brown period" that is completely normal. However you have been bleeding a long time. ask youreself this "is there any unsual odor with the bleeding? How much is coming out? Are there any other things going on that are abnormal?" Hun I would say make an appointment or call the gyno, because of the time span this has been going on... but be prepared to answer those kind of questions and be examined. good luck hope all is well!

the brown discharge sounds like old blood. sounds to me like you should tell your mother and get a good GYN workup. ok? something dont sound right to me. good luck honey. tell your mother or aunt or a relative that can possibly take you for an exam. and dont worry if you've never had one, you will be fine. plus, youre a young woman and will get used to it. but get checked ok?

No.

Brown discharge is really spotting.

See a doctor because this is unusual bleeding you're experiencing.
