I don't have cable. I just don't feel like paying for it. Sure, there would be more to watch on cable, I'd love to see all the MN Twins baseball games, and I love networks like HGTV or National Geographic or Discovery or History, stuff like that. But, I find that I watch tv almost every night, as it is, so I don't want to be watching more tv than I already do. Mondays I have three shows, Tuesdays none, Wednesdays one, or two, Thursdays one or two, Fridays one or two, Sundays one or two. The only nights I don't really watch tv are Tuesdays and Saturdays. I don't mind though, because when there is nothing on, I read a book, get on the computer, do crosswords and other word puzzle games, scrapbook, etc. Sometimes I even feel that even though I have shows I am devoted to there are nights when I'm just not in the mood to watch tv, so then I'll tape the show and watch it another night instead. I too compensate for not having cable by having DVDs to watch, but lately I've found I haven't watched many of those. I personally think tv is overrated these days. I don't think that I would have a problem going without tv. Except I'd miss the news, but there always is the newspaper or the internet. I'm content the way things are.

Not really...when I just had the "local" channels, there were only about 5 of them, and 3 of the 5 were very fuzzy and static-y. You can get cable pretty cheap now considering all the options available now.

Yes, my folks make do with a regular TV tower antenna, they get about 20 channels. No cable on their road. I could live with that.

We don't have cable. I am raising three boys and regular
TV is bad enough (language, violence, sex) we don't want to expose our son's to cable. They have no problem watching Nickelodeon, Disney, ect. at my parents house and my in-laws house when they visit. When they get older (probably ages 10, 13, and 16) and already know about sex, curse words, ect. we will consider getting cable then.

you likely ought to reconfigure your laptop to have the skill to hook up with wifi. Delete the old connection via going to regulate Panel ? community and internet ? community and Sharing center ? cope with instantaneous Networks. Delete the relationship to the old SSID which you have been employing. close and it will rescan your section for the hot connection and ask you for the spectacular wifi passphrase. If the router's SSID isn't detected, restart the pc and the router.
