i cant afford health or dental insurance right now. what can i do?

Most counties has a clinic that is sliding fee based. Call your welfare department or public aid department and get information.

Hope that you don't have any medical or dental emergencies.
Planned Parenthood for birth control (condoms, etc.), local health department for routine care or minor problems, free clinics or walk-in clinics for moderate complaints, low-cost dental clinics, free health fairs for routine screenings, and if it's a true life-or-death emergency, the ER. Life first, money later.

Some dental schools and med schools sometimes do free work, like dentures, exams, etc. But it's very rare. Just save up. Some practices, such as my friend's, will do charity work every now and then. There are so many charity foundations that will give free treatments, supplies, etc. It may sound degrading, but it's worth it if you can't afford it.

You can apply for medicaid at your local county Department of Social Services wich is where you should 1st go. If you are over the income guide lines and live in NY state then you may be able to apply for Family health plus you can find more information at there site. If you don't live in NY and are denied ask the worker if there are any other resources in your area.

Forbid yourself to get sick. Take all precautions. Watch TV ads on medicines to cure ailments. Pray everytime you go out. On denture, avoid eating sweet and snacks. Eat only 3 times a day.
