Midway is one of the most efficiently run airports. It is relatively small so its easier to navigate. I'm leaving out of there at the end of the month for vaction also. The only thing thats different is some of the runways are situated so that the pilot must turn sharply. If you are prepared no sweat. Bon voyage.

I think both Chicago airports are pretty easy to find your way around, but Midway is smaller and a little easier. It used to be a real dump but major construction a few years ago has made a world of difference and it is very nice now.

If you're driving there consider parking with the company at the link below -- they have regular shuttles and rates are cheaper than the airport parking.

One advantage Chicago has over NYC is that the CTA lines come into both Midway (Orange Line) and OHare (Blue Line)!

I worked at Midway airport for ATA Airlines for 8 years. It's a much better airport to depart from and arrive to than O'Hare.

I really like Midway as it is less crowded & closer to the central city than is Ohare. Plus the CTA Orange line train is just a quick ride into Downtown for $2.00

Midway is much less overwhelming than O'Hare. They have made a lot of improvements and it is very clean and organized. You will have a great experience there, I'm sure.

If it is bad weather you probably have a better chance of getting out than O'Hare because there are less planes fighting for the chance to take off. Otherwise Miday is fine. It used to be a dump years ago but they fixed it up pretty nicely.

Yes - easier than O'Hare at any rate. It's a smaller airport, and mostly run by Southwest, who are pretty efficient in general. You should be fine.

It will be easier and less stressful because the airport is smaller. But Ohare Airport is good too.
