You should focus on school and not birth control. With writing skills like that, you are not smart enough to understand the negatives or positives of birth control. Just keep your legs closed, do your homework, and focus on becoming a functioning adult by the time you turn 18.

i understand you are 14 and not old enough for sex but you should be educated on birth control
Birth Control
For 90 years, Planned Parenthood has served women and men who want to decide when and whether to have a child — who believe that every child should be wanted and loved. Since 1965, when Planned Parenthood won the right for all Americans to use birth control, family life has improved in many ways. The maternal death rate has fallen more than 60 percent. The infant death rate has declined by more than 70 percent. Birth control not only saves lives — it helps women and their families prevent poverty, plan their futures, and take charge of their destinies.
Every year, 85 percent of women aged 15–44 who don’t use birth control during vaginal intercourse become pregnant. Although the only guarantee against unintended pregnancy is to not have sex, using birth control can reduce your risk of pregnancy from vaginal intercourse. To decide which method to use at this point in your life, think about the answers to these questions:
How well will it fit into your lifestyle?
How convenient will it be?
How effective will it be?
How safe will it be?
How affordable will it be?
How reversible will it be?
Will it protect against sexually transmitted infections?
Use the navigation bar on the left to find up-to-date information about all the methods available in the U.S. — behavioral methods, over-the-counter methods, prescription methods, methods intended to be permanent — and a chart that compares the effectiveness of all methods. Let the birth control information on these pages help you make the choice that’s best for you.

i started birth control when I was 14 to regulate my cycles because I would have horrible cramps and get my period every two or three weeks. It helped alot, there are other reasons to get on birth control than just pregnancy. This is a tough question to answer because if you are getting on birth control to prevent pregnancy, you are awfully young to be having sex, but maybe your mom is just scared and trying to be proactive; in which case, when you are ready to have sex it certainly is good to be using contraceptives. You still need to use a condom anyway because birth control does not stop STD's and they're not 100% effective, I got pregnant while taking birth control at 19.
If you are getting on birth control for whatever reason, don't be scared, it's very safe. there are some risk and side effects associated with it but they should be relatively minor. Do not smoke while taking birth control! it increases the very serious risks of blood clots or stroke.

if you should take them or not depends if you are sexually active or not. birth control does not usually harm people. however, the hormones in many birth controls, can change your moods, feelings, emotions. some women have to take more than one type before they find the one that works best.
if you are not comfortable with the idea of birth control, be sexually safe. you do not want to have a baby yet. try using condoms every time you have sex. it is a good practice, and protects you more than birth control. or, try not having sex, then you won't have to worry about birth control.

You need concentrate on your spelling & grammer & sentence structure, more than being sexually active & birth control means.
The only thing BC controls is pregnancies....NOT STD's,
syphillis,AIDS,. You are setting yourself up for female organ cancers by your 30's by being active now. You are only 14? still a kid enjoy life you'll be active enough later when you can physically, emotionally, mentally, & spiritually handle it.

You're only14 you shouldn't be thinking about birth control or sex at your age. You should concentrate on other things like spelling and school. Worry about what you want to be when you grow up and work on that. Worry about the other stuff later. Much later.
