Anyone here who knows how to 'turns off' the Active Desktop feature? plz really nedd ur help !?

For Windows 98 look at this KnowledgeBase article from Microsoft.

For XP, you can't turn it off, but you can stop webpages from being displayed on your deskop

1. Goto Control Panel and choose Display
2. Choose Desktop Tab
3. Choose the Customize Desktop Button
4. Choose the Web Tab
5. Delete any listed Webpages you don't want ot be on your desktop.
