Education is very inportant. I am a high school dropout, i did however get my GED. THANK GOD! Uneducated persons in this country are forced into career paths that greatly differ from those available to persons with an education. When you have some time look through the employment section of the news paper. Most jobs require some degree of secondary education. Not to mention that being in school helps you to prepare you mind and body for the regular 8 hour work day and those pesky household chores.lol. An education is the one thing no one can ever take away from you.

To the second question: Look at it this way, do you think Bill Gates wan't a Geek in his day? How many of those same people are wishing they had taken the time to get to know him. and invested in his company, LOL. Teenagers have always been cruel to each other, ten years from now you wont remember half of the people you went to school with. We eventualy all move on to bigger and better things,

Education trains the brain to think. You may need that ability in later life. The comment about smart people being nerds and geeks.....well tell Bill Gates....

I'm not ruined... yet...

I like reading and science. Math nicht so gut. (GERMANS FUN!)
But for the most part its not the work that stresses me out. Its the kids man. Also I haven't had a girl friend for like awhile now. That just sucks. I used to get teased a lot too. But then kids just realize there isn't much sense to it so yea.

The point is not just to learn facts, but to learn discipline and organiztion. Some of the things they teach you in school may seem to be useless, but there are life lessons with everything. Staying organized and meeting deadlines are vital in the working world. School teaches you the basics of readin, writing and math, but the bigger lesson comes in being able to stick with something.

I agree with the above answer.... considering north america for example... Education from grade 1 to 12 can be considered one of the best in the world... it would be regretful not to take advantage of that... i guess the point is... when you have the choice to go to school or not, it is really hard to gain appreciation from it... once that choice is gone... then i dont know.... you may think otherwise....

the point is to get educated and to teach the brain how to think. School is one of the most worthwhile things we all do in life, it just doesn't seem that way at the time.
If we didn't have school, our economy would be in a mess - no school, no education, no workforce.

You are supposed to learn. They only give you recess because they want the school to look good. At least you have friends.
