Does this mean that if I die, I am no longer married? Cool, so all I need to do is find a way to come back after death. Maybe I should look into cryogenics....

Wait, I thought it was just one of those things you say cause it's cool to say it. Kind of like saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. I don't say it because I really believe they released evil spirits from their body by sneezing, it's just the right thing to say. I tried to get them to change my vows to "until one or both of us gets bored or sick of being married", unfortunately he wouldn't go for it.
As for cryogenics....don't they freeze you when you're still barely alive? I guess that would work, as long as she doesn't get frozen too, then you'd still have to be married when you both thawed....what a waste of a good freezer....

Haha, very funny. Any way, "until death do us part" I believe means that until one of us die we are still married. Technically if one of the other dies, then uhhhh, you aren't married anymore. Just widowed. And if you die, you won't have anything to worry about, you will be dead. Now what will happen is that your wifey will no longer be married. LOL! :)

It is suppose to mean you are married until you both die. Of course now days so many people don't honor their wedding vows that this statement don't mean as much as it should. It is kind of like the statement for "better or worse". As soon as the "worse" part comes; people forget what they said in their wedding vows too.

the phrase "death us do part" generally means that you are wed until one of you passes. Also Hollywood changed the wording to "until death do us part". When I got married the priest kept repeating it cause it sounded funny.

What that phrase REALLY means is, you both give God the right to kill either one of you if you break the vows you vowed to Him and each other. That could be emotional, mental, spiritual and ultimately physical death. So, don't make the vow if you do not intend to fulfill it. If have done so already, then stick to it.

If it was that easy I think would all be widow's and widowers...however it means that when one departs for this earth by death it parts the union that you took at marriage. But hey I like your scenario also!
