I can never think of a clever thing to say in a conversation. The "good" answer comes to me when the moment is gone and it would be pointless and probably silly to say it then.
Do you have the same problem?

Nope, I'm pretty quick to the draw when it comes to that sort of thing although I can think of a few times I'd wished I'd just kept my mouth shut! lol

Oh yeah. I HATE that. It happens all the time. It only bugs me when I'm talking to someone I like or to someone I don't know very well. Around my friends, I know that I can say stupid stuff or whatever and it won't really matter.
What I do that sometimes but rarely works is I think up possible conversations and think of clever things to say then, so if it ever comes up, I have something to say. The conversation very unusually comes up, but it's the best solutions i can think of...haha.

I have the same problem. What irritates me the most about myself is that I am a compulsive shopper. I can't stop myself. Although, I know that I really don't need certain things, I buy them anyway, especially if I am feeling upset or something. Sometimes, I just go through a store and fill up the cart and then leave it. That's messed up huh?

Sometimes I do yes. Someone will say something and at the moment I'm at a lose for a comment then awhile later I'll think I could have said this.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes it is easy for me to let things go and just ignore the person. If it is someone that has purposely tried to irritate and say hurtful things then it is really heard for me to not cut them a new one.

I have that problem all the time. It killed my social life in high school, but I also find it to be that my intelligence is at a different height than many I talk to. I don't know what interests them, but I know it's not what I like. Now that I'm an adult, I talk to people in my IQ range (that's who I work with!).

Sometimes, but I am an adlib person...on the spot spit it out. Try this...the next time you answer a question count to 4 before trying for an answer...slow down the thinking process...there is no time limit here. Slow down/enjoy! Bless

Yes - I can come up with witty stuff to say but it is always afterwards. Just don't think fast enough. Always has to weigh everything before hand. Don't want to say the wrong thing.
