Scratch off number two, it would be difficult to spell every single time she has to apply for ANYTHING.

Also, number four. It's the name of a shoe company.

The only one I like is Skylar. Why not Avril which is French for April, but isnt to "Aprilish" if you get what Im saying. I cant even pronounce Seraphina and Avia is way to common, its like the 4th most common name given to a baby girl these days.

Skylar

- Skylar

It's so uncommon it's TOO common these days. Do a Questions search on Skylar and Skyler, and you'll find that everyone and their sister has thought of the same "eweneek" name.

- Seraphina

Only if you're African-American, and then spell it Sarafina. A "seraph" is a high-ranking angel in Christian angelology. Why not just call her Angel, Angela, Angelina, or Angelica?

- Kaydence

Oh for heaven's sake, just call her Cadence or Patience and get rid of the "ooique" spelling. It'll be the bane of her life by sixth grade, I'm telling you.

- Avia

Arrrgh, sounds way too self-consciously artsy, and too much like "avian," i.e. "having the characteristics of a bird." I'd go for Aria, or Ava. Or you could use the lovely Russian name Ivanova (Eye-van-oh-va) and shorten it to Ava.

There is nothing wrong with uncommon names unless ofcourse it's something like APPLE, that is just an obvious NO NO!

I personally like all the names you have chosen, they are all really pretty. I like Avia and Kaydence the best though. Although the other 2 are great as well.

Chose the one you like the most, maybe research their meanings.

Goodluck and Congrats!

I know a few guys named Skylar. But I like the name Skye for a girl. Seraphina sounds like seraphim....(not a good thing) I dont like the spelling of Kaydence-I actually like Caden for a girl better and avia looks like she'll be a pilot. I like Ava. How about Ava Skye? That is pretty! or Caden Skye? I like those and no one will be like---HOW do you pronounce that?!

Kaydence

Skylar - too commonly uncommon (does that make sense?)
Kaydence - I'm sick of people mis-spelling names just to be unique (although it isn't really particularly unique)
Avia - nice, but a little unhuman. just makes me think of birds.

Seraphina - I like it! It sounds girly and pretty. It is kind of uncommon, but not off the wall. Also, people can just call her Sera for short. Good name!
