If you have just started getting your period, it may be irregular for awhile (up to a year). However, if you have had your period for at least a year, then I would definately go to an OB/GYN; such a small gap between periods is not normal and not healthy.
Your cycle is made up of a pre-ovulatory phase (first day of your period until you ovulate), ovulation, and your luteal phase (from ovulation to your next period). Generally, women have a luteal phase of about 7-14 days. Anything shorter than that, and there could be something wrong.
