This is a large apartment building, the kid is down the hall in I don't know what apartment. People here get paid to make babies or something.

OK, I have had two children and if ANYONE HERE can tell me how to make a baby "shut up" or "stop crying" after a certain amount of time....BE MY GUEST!!!! Sometimes no matter what you do a baby still is not happy or comfortable. Try feeling a little sympathy for the baby and it's parents. Imagine if you were the one trying to figure out what is wrong with your tiny little someone that can't tell you what is wrong. And try being the little one that can't tell anyone what is wrong.

Depending on how young the baby is - infants around 2-3 months may go through a colic stage - continuous crying - there is nothing you can do to appease them. Infants normally grow out of the colic stage around 4 months...

Call the super or landlord or whatever that person is called...that crying cannot keep you up all hours of the day and night....
Use the noise disturbance theory...they are not allowed to let this child cry beyond a reasonable time...

Babies cry, it's a fact of life. They cry for a reason tho so maybe his needs aren't being met or he's sick. You can't do anything about it, sorry. But I'd suggest you don't have any of your own if it bothers you =)

obviously you don't have kids. when you have kids all you will want to do is make them shut up, I pity those poor parents, also you could try writing a note and slide it under their door.
