If you knew they were talking about her then why did you become her friend. If you are a friend be a friend regardless of what others say otherwise you are just as ignorant as they are. Just the fact that you called her a dyke shows that you have already sided with them anyways so I suggest leaving her alone and not adding to the hate.

How about making your own decisions based on what you want. And I wouldn't let one of my friends trash talk another friend for no reason. I guess your just weak and scared. You haven't got a clue what life is like when your different she needs friends who care about her and who will stand up next to her. Do you really think she doesn't know that all your friends are trash talking her? She doesn't say anything because it's stupid and childish. Grow up and learn how to be true to yourself.

I think you need to stop labeling people and start standing up for what you believe in, like caring for people for whatever color, religion or sexual preferences. If people are going to label you so easily do you really think you should care. So sure reject the poor girl in order for you not to have rumours spread about you. I mean that wouldnt hurt the girl would it? The important person always is yourself isnt it?

kids in HS are petty as sh*t....and yes, they probably will talk crap about you if your friends with her, but years from now when your out of school, you will find you have nothing in common and not talk with 90% of the people you gone to school with...
at your reunion or gorcery store after a majority of those people who will talk crap about you will either be: flunked out of college, knocked up single mothers, or just gotten out of jail WILL pretend to be your friends..
Long story short, be friends with the girl, screw what other people think, and be the good/nice person your parents raised you as!

You sound very young. When you mature you will find that it is more important to judge people for who they are, not what other people think about them. If she is your friend, then she is your friend. Only you can determine how much you will allow other people to dictate who you can and can't see.
