I still remember a TV interview on the early morning TV "sofa" show at the time in the UK where the lead singer categorically denied any drug reference at all and claimed it to be based on a real person called Ebeneezer Goode.

Don't think he convinced anyone tbh!

that was easy i was only 11 but have 13 older brothers that were on the club scene if you'd of seen them at 7 in the morning when i was getting up ready for swimming club you'd know that was what the reference meant
