My little brother broke out with large red spots all over him and it was an allergic reaction to Penicillin.

Are they flaky looking? It could be ezema or some other dry skin problem.

Take your baby to a pediatrician and see if it is roseola a rarer form of measles. I have 2 children who were diagnosed withthis at 12 months old. Also if you have any indoor pets you may want to consider putting them out for a while.

It could possibly be a yeast infection, sounds weird but yeast grows in a warm moist area, so if he has been hot in a car seat or in some warm outfit, its possible to get it anywhere on his body. I would assume the ER would know what a yeast infection looks like.

Have you ever had your baby checked for an allergy? Sometimes hives do look like red spots. Good luck!

it possibly could be a bad reaction to something. have you given the child something different or used something different recently.
