a relationship should be built on trust, many people today do have opposite sex friends, we work together, go to school together, etc.
however, if you do their are some guidelines:
how often does he call, would it bother you if a female called him that much?
are you talking to male friends for the right reasons, or to make up for something missing from your relationship, like a good listener?
you cannot "make" anyone trust you, they will or they won't.
if you feel your conduct is correct, get out of the relationship and move on.
if you feel you may be talking to other men for wrong reasons, ask yourself if you want to discontinue this behavior to work on your relationship, or break up to look for a better match

Leave him over his insecure immaturity, honestly there are guys out there that would love to be with you, and some of those guys will be mature and actually welcome your friends, male or female, into your lives. By your boyfriend loosing his cool because you have a guy friend, it means he wants you all to himself, and that he has serious insecurity issues.
Leave him or tell him to grow up or you will leave him. To test him out, just tell him that you are tired of his jealousy and immaturity and that if he doesnt change, you will leave him. I will bet that after you telling him that, he will leave you. Which will just show you that he wasnt worth it to begin with.

You don't MAKE him trust you. If he chooses not to trust you that's his decision.
Now if he doesn't trust you & you have never given him any reason not to, then he is being unreasonable.
Then it begs the question, why do you put up with it?
