It should be freakin awesome to be introduced to Jack Sparrow's dad! (And boy, did they pick the right guy to play that--you might say that Keith Richards has been preparing himself for that role for his whole life!)

I look at Pirates of the Caribbean as an idiotic movie made palatable by Johnny Depp's outrageous performance. The producers must have thought, 'Is he seriously going to be doing that all through the picture?' But making a sequel to a mediocre film, and then a sequel to that sequel, is really asking a lot from Johnny Depp. After all, the story of Pirates of the Caribbean is terribly tedious and boring. What makes the first movie is Depp's utter disregard for the fact that he's in a movie.
But you can only tell the same joke once...maybe twice without looking silly. I wish Depp the best of luck. I think he spent a long time as one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. It's funny that it took something like Jack Sparrow, a very unchallenging role for Depp, to bring Depp out of obscurity.

Good! #2 was building up for 3! I wasn't too impressed with 2 as I was with 1.

Well, it could go either way, but I am hoping that it will be awesome!! If Elizabeth marries Jack or Will, it will be awful.... I hate Elizabeth after she kissed Jack and chained him to his beloved ship!!
I hope Elizabeth dies!! Chow yun fat plays a "supposed to be bad pirate" but I think he will be awesome since he kidnapps Elizabeth!! yay! I hope he kills her!!
I think that Elizabeth should take Will & Bootstraps place on "the flying dutchmen" ship! that would be AWESOME!! Of course, the obvious.... CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW is coming back!!! yay!!
I think Barbossa is going to be awesome.... Will will be as nice as ever and Elizabeth does NOT deserve someone so nice, but they will probably end up getting married at the end anyhow. ;0(
I remember on imdb last year, they had Keira Knightly listed as "Elizabeth Swann/Turner" for POTC:AWE - of course, now it only says Elizabeth Swann..... so hopefully she'll die or something.
Only time can tell..... can't wait for May 25th!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure about the whole 'asian theme', but hopefully it will be good.
Especially after all this anticipation. I just can't wait to see what Jack Sparrow's dad is like.

It's interesting, I'll say that much. A couple of characters do die. I'm contracted so I can't say who, but they do die early in the movie. Also Chow Yun-Fat's character is bad ***!!

also my daughter has a crush on orlando, so we'll end up seeing it either way.
