their purpose is to make themselves feel better...lifting their own self-esteem

wow your boss is one big *******! excuse my potty language...

but you know, people who put me down gives me a motivation, ...a motivation to prove them wrong... because I know, that they are wrong!... Never let others or the situation become who you are...

first of all don't put up with it. your a better person then that. the reason he does that is because he is also trying to let all employees know that he's not going to put up with any thing. it also makes him feel like a boss. go to the labor board about this problem. they will put a stop to it, really quick or quit, because he's is an ******* and he's not going to change. let him know that your not going to put up with it anymore.

your boss is a **** and you should quit then come back to the place you worked and treat him like a ******* and if he bitches back say the customer is always right

There could be various reasons for it. Sometimes people are just venting, and perhaps they think you're oblivious in general and don't realize they're hurting your feelings.

hehe prolly a low self esteem...and hey i had bosses like that before..i decided to find a different job ...or else talk to him/her

it makes them feel superior
