Why does my husband have to be intoxicated to be amazing in bed?

Question

On a normal day, sex is so-so. Most of the time I'll just let him finish and we'll be done. But, on the weekend he was extremely intoxicated and sex was amazing! It kept me wanting more and more all weekend. I understand you're less inhibited when you're drunk etc, but he's not generally an inhibited person. I suppose he's not all that experienced in bed and I maybe haven't tried teaching him enough new things, but why won't he tell me what he wants? That day he did things he'd never done before, amazing things, I told him how amazing it was, even the next day, but after that he went back to his boring old self in bed. I can't stress enough that I did talk to him about how good it was and how we were both enjoying ourselves, but now it's like he's embarassed at what all we did. I want him to be more adventurous and try new things, but if he's only able to do it when he's intoxicated, does that mean I have to get him drunk whenever I'm really in the mood?

my only guess and assumption to this and for my own theory because liki said i too have experienced this with my husband on weekends too.
i think that "our" men are too embarrasses to do the things they do when they are drunk. i think that drinking gives them that extra confidence.... like i said that i too HAD this problem
**my solution was to tell my husband how i wanted it and thought that "this way" or "that way" would be nice to try...
he was happy to give me the pleasure i wanted. dont feel like you are putting your man down, because your not.
and im sure you can say htis in a nice way:) to him...

oh yeah and still at times when my husband gets drunk it is much wilder and better:)
i asked him if he noticed and he said "yes" he said he feels more "sexy" :) lol :) and that the beer just does something different to him which we all know does> last he did say he liked it better sober because he can get the "feeling" better than being drunk... and also it does make him last loonger!

Inhibitions could be alot of it. Some guys just go off too fast when they aren't intoxicated too I think. Some people don't think outside the box at all unless they have a stimulant. I would suggest telling him No to any kind of sex unless he can do what you know dam well he is capable of. You have needs too, and if he can't satisfy yours then you don't need to satisfy his. Hold out for what you want. It's about negotiation. If you fail at that then just keep some alcohol around for when you are in the mood.

In my past, a b/f of mine was also amazing when tipsy. He was a less inhibited, wilder, much better lover after a few beers.
The only thing I can think, is the alcohol must dull their senses a bit, which makes them last longer too! That's not a bad thing!!

My suggestion is when you are in the mood for great sex, make him a drink or two while you seduce him, it'll be fun for you both!!

Haha, for awhile maybe, but then he'll come to terms with his uninhibited sexual self and then he won't need to be drunk and you'll actually find that drunk sex isn't as good as you though. Do talk to him and tell him over again exactly what you liked and so on, even if he gets that funny look on his face, you know the "I'm embarassed to talk about sex look" that some guys get. It's so cute! I'm really curious as to what he did though, hehehe.

Alcohol makes one lose their inhibitions. It is not something
to be proud of, because it often exposes unwanted behavior. In your case though I believe it is covering a self esteem issue. Alcohol is a crutch to get him through that.
What you want in bed should come from a level of trust and communication not from a bottle. You said you tried. Well now try knowing that he needs emotional support to lose those
feelings that he covers or is dependent on alcohol to bring them out. He must feel embarrassed for some reason, why?
This may sound stupid, but I found regular exercise, workouts
are a great way to build self-esteem.

Our twins are 10 months old. they have slept interior the path of the nighttime for the main section (we've had some enhance spurts and teething that disrupted sleep varieties) for the reason that approximately 3 months old. we don't co-sleep - there are 2 of them and that they do nicely of their cribs. each and every now and back if one is ill or up early interior the morning, we can carry them into mattress to snuggle yet we don't somewhat co-sleep. only right desires!

We have awesome sex, but it is better when drunk - same reason - uninhibited...
I wear 'saucy' things to bed, have sex in the shower, start it in the kitchen, and have play things.. whatever we need to do to make sure we all have fun, and that sex isn't "routine"

The booze eliminated some inhibitions. Problem is to get him to loosen 'em up without the booze. What is he afraid of? Inhibited folks are inhibited for a reason (I know, DUH!!). Find the reason and help him realize there are benefits from getting it going without the booze.
