I would be more proud of you if you were to call it Football and not Soccer. Soccer hasn't been used to describe Football since around 1930. Football to Americans is what we Enlgish people call American Football. The reason?
You rarely use your feet in American Football, so why is it called Football? Punts, Kick-offs, and Field Goals, they are the only times American Footballers use their feet. 90% of the game is played with the hands.
Also, Soccer as you call it, or Football as it is nowadays known, was invented 1st, and therefore should be called by what it is - a game played with the feet - FOOTBALL
