I really just think it's part of puberty, but I just shaved for the first time about a month ago. About 1 week after that, zits began appearing. I'm pretty sure it's normal acne, as I still have it on my face, but I just want to make sure before going to my doctor about it. I never experienced acne before shaving, so maybe it appeared because the pores opened??? Any help is much appreciated!

Sounds like you have sensitive skin. The cure is to let your pubic hair grow out, as the hair protects the skin. It also looks a lot more normal; shaved pubes are freaky!

This is normal for the first time, even the first few times. Your body is adjusting. It may be ingrown hairs, it may be zits, but it is normal. You can avoid it by making sure things stay clean and dry, try a powder after shaving. It may be your razor too, make sure you are using a clean sharp blade and one that no one else is using either. I have been shaving since I was twelve and with over 15 years of experience in this department, I can honestly say that I would never let everything grow back in, I can't stand it. It was the worst part of puberty. I do leave some hair on top just so it doesn't freak people out if they ever happen to see like at the gym. But I do keep it clean around the package. Makes you look bigger too!! If you have any more questions about hints for shaving, let me know. I speak from experience.

that is common. It is a razor burn. And you probably got really itchy down under before they appear. They will go down. It is completly normal. Next time shave in the direction of your hair with a new razor. Make sure your razor has more than one blade too. The more blades on it the less burn you will get. Keep it trim. Don't let it get so long. Good luck! I hate when that happens. Even if I am female I have experienced it too.

If I understand this right..you are referring to what you think is zits in your pelvic region after you shaved it. If this is the case it sounds like ingrown hairs to me. This happens a lot, especially when you first start shaving that area. It will go away as the hairs start growing in. If I misunderstood your question, then I apologize.

They're ingrown hairs. You have to be careful prepping an area that you've never shaved before. Check out the attached article for some tips on how to prevent ingrown hairs.

It could be from improper shaving techniques. Make sure you soak the hair (shower), wash, using shaving cream, shave with downward strokes, or use an electric.
