I'd done several reserves just to get cool stuff, like a Gears of War and Guitar Hero II T-shirt.

I do my reserves at the store. I put down 5 bucks to reserve the game, and Best Buy will hold the game for me for 48 hours. When the game is released, I go to the store and pick up the game.

There's really no reason to reserve a game at Best Buy unless you get an item or a discount. Best Buy's problem is that they hand out collector's editions on a first come first serve basis, so if you want the collector's edition, you have to show up early, and if it's a popular game (like Burning Crusade), you have to wait in line several hours before the store opens if you want the collector's edition. If you want a collector's edtion, reserve it at EBgames or Gamestop.

I don't think Best Buy calls you to tell you that your game arrived because the cashier doesn't take down your info. You're expected to know when the game arrives.

either u have to call them or go to the store. You ask to reserve something and they will ask you your home phone number (sometimes ur address) Then when the product comes, they will call you to come pick it up. Reservations are about 50 bucks or more. I once reserved a nintendo wii and i'm still waiting
