I have 2 friends that are arguing and I really don't know what to do about it. Lets call them Betty and Jane for now. Betty and Jane have been friends since kindergarden, but they are arguing now. I only met Betty and Jane this year. I was friends with Betty before I was friends with Jane. Betty is really dramatic and loves acting. With her I can laugh my head off for hours on end. Jane, on the other is logical but can still make me laugh. I would laugh with Betty more than with Jane, but I think I would be able to tell my secrets to Jane easier than I would to Betty. I have already made it clear to my friends that I don't want to be sucked into their argument and I don't want to take sides because I don't want to lose my friends. I think Jane was mad at Betty before Betty even knew it. (Sorry for the bad names, cont in details)

Jane is mad at Betty because she feels like Jane is stealing her identity. She says Jane is pretending that she has the same disease as she does, that her brother wants to get into the same college with the same classes, and that Betty's mom is taking classes on being able to teach a special class, and Jane's mom has had that job for a while.

Jane is now mad at Betty because she says that Betty has been mean to her since the 1st grade and makes everyone side with her. And the only reason why Betty acts dramatic is because she feels neglected at home, and that Jane doesn't understand that. When I told Jane she could be a bit over dramatic, she stormed off.

What should I say to my friends to end this fued?

Oops, the second paragraph in details should say:

Betty is now mad at Jane because she says that Jane has been mean to her since the 1st grade and makes everyone side with her. And the only reason why Betty acts dramatic is because she feels neglected at home, and that Jane doesn't understand that. When I told Jane she could be a bit over dramatic, she stormed off.

Dont hang out with them together. Tell them if they cant get along then you cant hang out with them both at the same time. See them individually.

Put them in a the same room together then tell them they have to tell each other how they feel about this argument and how they feel about each other with our arguing, Or fighting they only have to talk with out saying anything bad.
