I did and I tried my best to get him to go for counseling, I even offered to call and make an appointment, but he refused. I tried to talk sense to him as did other people at work. He wouldn't listen and he was fired from his job 2 weeks ago. He will probably end up homeless but there are some people who won't accept your help.

I would not be friends with them for starters. Let them work it out themselves. Theres really not much you can do.

just listen. and go with it. there is always some shred of truth in insanity...you just have to be able to recognize it
