I have a boy who was 14 he cursed at the priciple and they kicked him out for the whole yr. No other school will take him, and this was all 2 yrs. ago Now he don't want to go back to the 7th grade to be 2yrs older than everybody. But if we kept the kid out for a week we'd be up on charges. Any ideas? He doesn't have the knowledge to take the G.E.D. test. I'm at a loss.

Try home schooling him, im sure you can find a school online to accept him. The advantage with that is that he can go at his own pace and maye he can surpass the grades he missed and eventually get back in his right grade. I've seen it happen, its possible! Look up Virtual Academy online and go from there, good luck!

You need to go back and talk to a counselor at the school that your son or this boy previously attended and ask if there are any schools for at risk children. I am almost positive that he or she can refer you to a school where there is a special accelerated program that allows at risk kids like teen moms or problem kids that would normally drop out of school graduate in time or even ahead. I know because my brother was kicked out of the high school that he was attending due to behavioral problems and the high school refused to take him back. So his counselor had him transferred to a special school for kids with problems. The classes were much smaller and self paced. teachers were able to work one on one with him and the kids at this school weren't required to take extra curricular classes like in a normal school setting, nor were those classes offered either. What I don't understand is why this kid was not received by another school. It's against the law for a minor child to be out of school period. He should have been allowed at least into an alternative education center. There is no reason why he should have missed two years of school unless he refused to go to school and wasn't forced to go. Personally, at 14 or 15 years of age it shouldn't be up to him whether or not he wants to go to school. He should be in school. Good Luck because I forsee a long and hard road ahead for the two of you.

You can have him homeschooled. You can either do it yourself or hire a professional to do so.
